Otto W. A. Weber

Otto W A Weber, of The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2017 at the age of 84. He was born in Passaic, NJ to the late Otto and Wilhelma Weber. He was a resident of Bloomfield, NJ.

He was a lab tech in the U.S. Army in the 1950s and attended Syracuse University before ultimately graduating from Fairleigh Dickenson University.

Otto worked as an Analytical Chemist at Hoffmann-La Roche for over 30 years eventually retiring to The Villages in Florida. In addition to time spent with family, Otto also enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Lysbeth (nee Ruckert). He was the proud father of four sons and is survived by them and their spouses/partner (Bill and Eileen, Bob and Kim, Marc and Carol, James and Sarah) as well as doting “Pop-Pop” to 9 grandchildren (Kevin, Sean, Colleen, Zach, Kyle, Emily, Nicholas, Matthew, Sofia). He is also survived by his sister Diana Weber as well as his dedicated in-laws Horst, Suzie and Rudy Ruckert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Summerfield, FL at 10 a.m. on December 15, 2017. Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Otto’s memory may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or The Fund for F.D.U. (Fairleigh Dickinson University).
