Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Thomas

Roberta “Bobbie” Thomas, 83, of The Villages passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at The Villages Hospice House in The Villages. Bobbie was a native of Wharton, Texas and moved to this area from Stamford, CT 18 years ago. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed bridge, bowling, golfing and socializing with her friends. Survivors include her sons Daniel Thomas of Frisco, TX; Scott Thomas of Duxbury, MA, Mike Thomas of Ledyard, CT; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dick Thomas. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on January 24, 2015 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL, 32159. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella Drive, The Villages.
