Sumter County Tax Collector Randy Mask picked up an election packet Friday at the Supervisor of Elections Office, signaling that he will be running for re-election in 2016.

This would be the second term for Mask, a former Sumter County commissioner.

Two incumbents on the commission, Al Butler and Don Burgess, are both running for re-election next year. Butler picked up his re-election packet this week. Burgess picked up his packet Feb. 26. Commission Chairman Don Hahnfeldt will be running for the Florida House seat now held by state Rep. Marlene O’Toole. Villager Steve Printz has already pre-filed to run for Hahnfeldt’s seat.

Another Sumter County incumbent, Property Appraiser Joey Hooten, picked up his election packet March 2.
