Villager in golf cart transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center after collision on Morse Boulevard

A Villager in a golf cart who had been traveling Saturday morning on Morse Boulevard was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center after a collision with another vehicle.

The collision was said to have occurred at about 10 a.m. on Morse Boulevard near the intersection of San Marino Drive.

The driver of the golf cart reportedly suffered head trauma.

The investigation into the crash has been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A fatal golf cart accident occurred on Morse Boulevard in January when a golf cart collided with a mini-van.

That accident spurred a petition drive calling for changes on Morse Boulevard.
