Two transported from scene of accident at Rolling Acres shopping plaza

Two people were transported from the scene of an accident at 2:43 p.m. Jan. 22 on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at the Rolling Acres shopping plaza.

Ronna M. Wickham, 63, of West Seneca,was attempting to make a left hand turn into the driveway of the shopping plaza when her vehicle collided with another automobile driven by Dewey R. Strauss, 74, of Lady Lake, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Strauss was transported by Lake EMS to Ocala Regional Medical Center following the accident.

Rhoda Smith of Freedom, N.Y., who had been a passenger in Wickham’s vehicle was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital.

Wickham was ticketed as a result of the accident.
