63-year-old Fruitland Park man arrested with pills in sock

A 63-year-old Fruitland Park man was arrested on a charge possession of a drug without a prescription Friday by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy had been dispatched to pick up Galen Louis Pearlman on a Marion County warrant.

When the deputy made contact with Pearlman, he told the deputy that he had drugs in his sock, according to an arrest report. The deputy found three pills in Pearlman’s left sock which turned out to be morphine.

Pearlman was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $2,000.
