Anita Louise Duffy, 69, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
Raised in Bronx, NY, she was the adopted daughter of the late Mrs. Dolan. She was a graduate of St. Nicolas of Tolentine High School and St. Clare’s Hospital School of Nursing. Anita worked as a registered nurse at the former St. John’s and Parkway Hospitals in Queens, NY. She came to The Villages in 1999. She was a Red Hatter and enjoyed mahjong, playing pool at Chatham, bingo and water walking as part of the early crew at El Santiago Pool.

Anita was the wife of the late Thomas Francis Duffy who passed in 1992. Devoted mother of Dawn Marie Duffy of Tampa, FL and Thomas Patrick Duffy of Glen Oaks, NY. She leaves behind her daughter Dawn, Dawn’s fiancé, Thomas Gregorich of Orlando, FL, her son Thomas, and a brother, Peter Dolan of New Jersey.

Her spirit remains forever in the hearts of all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Anita Louise Duffy to the National Blood Clot Alliance at stoptheclot.org.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.
