Bond has been revoked for a 46-year-old Villager arrested in May after his golf cart sank in a pond after an alleged burglary.
Michael Wayne Hawk, who resides at 1310 Debra Drive in the Village of Orange Blossom Gardens, is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail.
He had been free on bond in the burglary case until he allegedly trashed a hotel room in July at the Holiday Inn Express in The Villages. He was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief.
On May 20, Lady Lake police had discovered an EZ-GO golf cart in a pond on the Historic Side of The Villages. An expired Illinois license plate on the golf cart was tracked to Hawk’s mother, who died in December after a battle with cancer.

Hawk’s father lives in the Village of Amelia. The tax bill for Hawk’s Villages’ residence on the Historic Side is sent to the Village of Amelia address.
