Woman with prosthetic leg sought after passing phony bill at Wal-Mart

Two women, one of them with a prosthetic leg, are being sought by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies after allegedly passing phony $100 bills at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

The women entered the store on Aug. 5 and after spending the fake bills, walked to an awaiting vehicle in the south parking lot. The vehicle was a small passenger sedan silver in color possibly a Toyota Corolla. Both women appear to be in their 30s and one of the females has a distinctive gait as she has a prosthetic left leg.
