Student suspended for three days after bullying incident on school bus

A female student at Harbor View Elementary School in Summerfield was suspended for three days in the wake of a bullying incident on a school bus.

The school guidance counselor contacted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in regard to an incident in which the student led fellow students in a hate-filled chant, according to an incident report from the sheriff’s office.

After the suspension, the student may be placed in the alternative school.
