Village of Silver Lake woman to escape prosecution after husband asks that case be dropped

A 54-year-old Village of Silver Lake woman will escape prosecution on a charge of domestic battery after her husband asked that the case be dropped.

The prosecutor’s office on Friday announced that no information would be filed in the case against Michele Perry, 54, of 624 Tracy Drive.

She had been arrested in January after she scratched the left side of her husband’s face causing a “bleeding abrasion,” according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She had accused her husband of having sex with a woman on the enclosed porch of their residence, the report indicated. It also said Perry was “apparently intoxicated.”

But Perry’s husband told the prosecutor’s office that his injury was “minimal” and he did not want to see his wife prosecuted.
