An 80-year-old Villager has landed back behind bars after violating his probation.

Richard Neil Hendricks was at the Villages Public Safety Department on Paradise Drive on the Historic Side of The Villages on March 19 when Lady Lake police approached him in an attempt to serve a Sumter County warrant charging him with a probation violation.

When officers approached him, Hendricks hit the medical alert alarm he was wearing and complained of having a heart attack. He then said he needed to go to the hospital.

Once Hendricks was admitted at The Villages Regional Hospital, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office was notified he was a patient at the hospital.

He was released from the hospital on Tuesday and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.

Hendricks has been banned from all Villages facilities, including recreation centers, swimming pools, softball facilities and town squares. You can read more about Hendricks past arrests HERE
