Two drivers taken to hospitals after crash on Buena Vista Boulevard

Two drivers were transported by ambulance to local hospitals after a crash Monday morning on Buena Vista Boulevard near the entrance to the Village of Glenbrook.

A black Mercedes had been traveling southbound at about 9 a.m. on Buena Vista Boulevard when a gold Chrysler Town & Country van turned left from Talley Ridge Drive attempting to enter northbound Buena Vista Boulevard, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the Mercedes could not stop in time to avoid the collision.

Emergency personnel were on the scene of the accident Monday on Buena Vista Boulevard.

The van landed on its side after the crash.

One of the drivers was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital while the other was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the van was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield.
