Wildwood police nab woman driving Jeep without license on State Road 44

Wildwood police nabbed a woman driving a Jeep without a license on State Road 44.

Maria Rico Martinez, 23, of Tampa, had been at the wheel of a white Jeep at 8:24 a.m. Thursday which was eastbound on State Road 44 at Signature Drive when she was pulled over for having only a single brake light, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

She was asked to provide her driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. She told the police officer she has never had a driver’ license.

She was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $500 bond.
