Assisted living CNA accused of stealing from 98-year-old patient

Desiree Autumn Adriance

A CNA at a local assisted living facility has been accused of stealing from a 98-year-old patient.

The credit card of a patient at The Willows at Wildwood assisted living facility in Oxford had been fraudulently used to pay for food items and weight loss pills, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

The CNA, 23-year-old Desiree Autumn Adriance, was tracked down Tuesday at her home in Ocala. She agreed to travel to the Wildwood Police Department for an interview. She admitted she had used the man’s credit card for the purchases and for a payment to her PayPal account. Adriance admitted she had taken a photo of the credit card of the man, who was her patient. The charges totaled $220.

She was arrested on a felony charge of fraud. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
