She was born to the late Starr and Erva Klinect on March 31, 1929, in Elyria, Ohio. Lou, as she was known, graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1947. She attended Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, until marrying the late Richard E. “Dick” Dunn in 1949.

Lou is survived by two brothers, Marvin and Ronald Klinect, children Bob (Christi), Kathy (George), Gary (Kim), Pete (Sue), Joe (Pat), and daughter-in-law Marla, as well as 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff, her sister, Margaret, and by her husband Dick.

Lou and Dick settled in Cleveland after their marriage, then spent several years together in Indiana before moving to their long-time home in Kent, Ohio. They moved to The Villages in Florida after Dick’s retirement in 1991.

The couple also spent many summers at a home they owned together on Eels Lake in Ontario, Canada, where Lou loved to watch loons and the many other birds, and where Dick loved to fish and go sailing.

Private family services are scheduled with burial at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio. A celebration of Lou’s life will be held once COVID restrictions have been lifted.
