SBDC hosting free business seminar for financing and bookkeeping

The Small Business Development Center Sumter County division will host a seminar next week to teach business owners about financing, bookkeeping, and tax fundamentals.

Financing: Do you need money to start or expand your business? In this segment of the seminar, you will learn about various financing options through banks; types of loans and SBA guaranteed loan programs.

Bookkeeping and Tax: Having a good set of books will save you time and money in the future. This portion of the seminar provides what you need to know about basic record keeping and tax preparation for your small business. Topics include chart of accounts, federal & state tax requirements, sales tax and tax decisions. Prepare yourself to find solutions to the financial organization challenges you may face within your business.

The seminar will take place on Oct. 30 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Villages Service Center along Powell Road (7375 Powell Road, Room 102, Wildwood, FL 34785).
