Johnny Nathan Pew Jr.

Wildwood police apprehended a man driving at 50 miles per hour in a 15 mph zone.

Johnny Nathan Pew Jr., 26, had been at the wheel of a silver Nissan four-door that had been spotted shortly before 11 p.m. Friday traveling westbound on Peters Street in the center of the roadway at a high rate of speed.

After the car had been pulled over, Pew attempted to walk away from police. Officers later determined that Pew’s license had been suspended.

A search of the vehicle turned up a syringe that contained a brown liquid substance determined to be THC Oil.

Pew was arrested on a felony charge of drug possession as well as charges of resisting arrest and driving while license suspended.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
