Mother lands behind bars for second time after failure to pay child support

Alice Madlonado

A 36-year-old mother landed back behind bars for a second time after failure to pay child support.

Alice Noreen Maldonado of Ocala had been driving a 1990 Honda four-door at 10 a.m. Wednesday when she was pulled over by a Wildwood police officer.

A check revealed her driver’s license had been suspended on May 10 for failure to meet her obligations of support. She was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $500 bond.

Maldonado had previously been booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on Nov. 2, 2016 after failing to meet child support obligations.
