RV driver arrested on DUI charge after head-on collision in Citrus County

A 60-year-old man at the wheel of a recreational vehicle was arrested after a head-on collision early Sunday morning in Citrus County.

Stanley Thomas Trammel of Morriston had been driving the RV at 12:18 a.m. on Suncoast Boulevard at West Kingston Drive heading northbound in the southbound lane when the collision occurred, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

This RV collided head-on with a pickup truck early Sunday morning in Citrus County.

The other driver, 26-year-old Robert Scott O’Steen of Homosassa, was seriously injured and transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center.

Trammel was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
