Jeannette Rudd Warnock

Jeannette Rudd Warnock, 89, of Oxford, FL, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. Mrs. Warnock was born August 17, 1929 in Gadsden County, Fl, to Shaird and Lottie Mae (Johnson) Rudd.

She had 2 siblings, Lillian and Russell, who predeceased her. Jeanette Rudd married Lowell Warnock in 1955. They met while both attending FSU after World War II. Jeannette received a Bachelors and a Master’s degree from Florida State University. Jeannette retired after 30 years of teaching, from the Sumter County School Board in 1988.

Jeannette was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her granddaughter Lauren Brown. She has 2 daughters, Carol Poole of Oxford and Blairsville and Leticia Pegg of Fernandina Beach. She has 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was an amazing sister, daughter, aunt, mother and Memaw. She loved her family very much. She was active in her church and local community groups, such as the Women’s Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and loving on her pets. She was a true southern lady, and will be missed by her family and friends.

Jeannette’s family and friends will celebrate her life at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2019 in the First Baptist Church of Wildwood. Following the interment of her ashes there will be a fellowship meal at the First Baptist Church.
