Tracy Morse helps cut ribbon on newest recreation complex in The Villages

Tracy Morse helped cut the ribbon on the newest recreation complex in The Villages.

Morse, who heads The Villages Design Division, is known for overseeing the finest details of projects in The Villages, much like her mother, Sharon Morse, before her.

Morse was accompanied at the event by her daughter, Devon Wiechens, who also works in the design division.

Tracy Morse and Devon Wiechens, fourth and fifth from left, helped cut the ribbon Friday morning at the new Everglades Recreation Complex.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Friday morning at the Everglades Recreation Complex in the southern end of The Villages.

The Everglades Recreation Complex is located on Marsh Bend Trail in The Village of Marsh Bend. It’s location provides easy access to more than 15 miles of connected pathways.

The complex offers a wide range of recreational opportunities including softball and multipurpose fields, sports pool, pickleball, platform tennis, shuffleboard and bocce courts.

The inside of the recreation center offers table tennis, arts and crafts and card games.
