Crisis at the border continues unabated

Congressman Daniel Webster

The crisis at the border continues unabated as President Biden ignores the reality of what is going on and the media largely ignores it.

Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to visit, despite being put in charge by President Biden 28 days ago. This is not only a humanitarian and national security crisis, it presents public health challenges for the United States as well.

As COVID-19 continues to spread, the conditions in facilities at the border where illegal immigrants are held present serious public health concerns. Yet no COVID tests are required as migrants leave the facilities and are flown to cities all over the country.

I have cosponsored H.R. 2729 to require President Biden to finish the wall construction that was started by President Trump.

Not only do porous borders pose a grave threat to our national security, but without meaningful control of our borders, the United States will continue to attract illegal immigration and perpetuate the broken status quo. We must secure our border.

We must finish building the wall.
