Rotary Club of The Villages Evening helps St. Theresa’s keep food programs rolling

Rotary Club of The Villages Evening has been working closely for the past year with St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Social Services Ministry.

While loading a cargo van with food donations, Director of St Theresa’s Social Services Jack Nettis, worried the van was too full and needed to be emptied and then returned to retrieve more food. The “big truck” was in for repairs.

Rotary Club of The Villages Evening has donated $5,000 to St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Social Services Ministry.

Rotarians Julie Schmeid and Gay Davidson began wondering about the need to upgrade St. Theresa’s vehicles, which ferry hot meals to those in need, 365 days a year.

The two vehicles have been a critical part of helping St. Theresa’s feeding those in need, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The Rotarians decided to donate $5,000 toward the vehicle upgrade.
