Supervisors of Community Development District 9 hosted a town hall meeting Thursday evening at Eisenhower Recreation Center.
One of the purposes of the meeting was to outline the responsibilities of CDD 9.
“At the end of the day, our main responsibility is to maintain the value we all saw when we came here,” said CDD 9 Chairman Steve Printz.

CDD 9 has a 2014-15 $3.263 million general fund budget, said CDD 9 Vice Chairman Jack Reimer, who walked those attending the event through an overview of the finances of the district.
CDD 9 has $5.9 million in reserves and a total of $93 million in assets, Reimer said.
Supervisor Steve Brown provided an overview of deed compliance and explained that it is complaint driven and follows a formal multi-step process.
He also talked about the Architectural Review Committee and briefly explained its purpose.
“They make sure things remain consistent,” Brown said.

Printz encouraged residents to attend CDD Orientation, Resident Academy and CDD 9 meetings which are monthly. The next meeting is at 1:30 p.m. March 19 at the District Office at Lake Sumter Landing.
Supervisors thanked those in attendance for showing up to learn more about the operation of CDD 9.
