Letter to the Editor: Mainstream Media – Is the MSM to Blame?

To the Editor:

With everything going on in the World, I find it hard to believe that the main question asked of Sen. Marco Rubio, when he announced his candidacy, was “would you attend a gay marriage?” With the World in turmoil and the American job situation still in peril, where were the other questions? How will you create jobs? How will you lower the deficit? How will you handle Iran? How will you fight the spread of ISIS? How will you deal with Putin? And so much more. Obviously not as important as whether he would be a wedding guest. Fortunately, Sen. Rubio wasn’t phased by the question. He answered with caring and thoughtfulness. After all, you don’t throw away those that you love because you disagree with them. Before we start blaming Congress and political parties for the problems in this country, we may want to delve into how the MSM handles its stories. Editorializing news, slanting stories and suggesting single (social) issue voting is not good journalism.
