A large crowd turned out Monday morning for a Memorial Day serviceĀ  at Veterans Memorial Park in The Villages.

Warm, sunny greeted the patriotic crowd that turned out for the service to remember those who gave their lives in service to the country.

Most of those attending the annual event, wore patriotic colors or carried small American flags.

The park, dedicated on Nov. 11, 1998, is a familiar site of somber services.
