Pair arrested on marijuana charges by Florida Highway Patrol

Two men were arrested early Sunday by the Florida Highway Patrol after they were found to be in possession of marijuana.

The FHP officer was at RaceTrac service station in Lady Lake when he observed a vehicle with a loud muffler.   

After he pulled over the vehicle, marijuana was found in the vehicle and on a passenger, 36-year-old Jay Robert Froehlich of Summerfield, according to the arrest report.

He and the driver, 21-year-old Cliphens Duplessy who lives in the Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake, were charged with marijuana possession.

Both were booked at the Lake County Jail. They were released after each posted $100 bond.
