Accident leaves person wedged under vehicle in Ocala

An accident left a person wedged under a sedan Friday night in Ocala.

Ocala Fire Rescue responded at 8:32 p.m. to the crash at the intersection of State Road 40 and NE 25th Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find two vehicles with moderate damage and a person wedged under the front bumper of one of the vehicles.

A person was wedged under a vehicle after an accident Friday night in Ocala.

After the vehicle was stabilized, crews proceeded to remove the individual, who had been ejected from one of the vehicles in the crash. The patient was transported as a trauma alert to Ocala Regional Medical Center. The driver of the other vehicle was not transported. No other injuries were reported.

Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
