Cook at World of Beer arrested after pulled over in car with expired Pennsylvania tag

Cameron Michael Smith

A cook at World of Beer in The Villages was arrested Monday night after he was pulled over in a car with an expired Pennsylvania tag.

Cameron Mitchell Smith, 26, of Leesburg, at 11:53 p.m. was driving a white Cadillac with an expired registration and insurance which had been canceled when he was pulled over by a Lake County sheriff’s deputy. When the deputy approached the vehicle, the aroma of marijuana was detected. A K-9 unit was summoned and the dog alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs.

Smith handed over a yellow glass marijuana pipe. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a clear bag containing marijuana.

The Erie, Pa. native was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and possession of drug equipment. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.

Smith works at the World of Beer location at Brownwood Paddock Square, according to the arrest report.
