The 2018 Central Florida Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) Solidarity Event will be held at Temple Shalom of Central Florida on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.
This year’s program, titled “Celebrating 70 Years of Heroes and Hope,” features members of the Israel Defense Force (IDF) Musical Ensemble. These young soldiers, currently touring through North America, will be singing in English and Hebrew and dancing.
The Israel Solidarity Committee Community sponsoring the concert includes Temple Shalom of Central Florida, The Villages Chavurah North, the Kibitzers Club, the Borscht Belt Club and Hadassah.
Tickets are available for purchase at the door. General admission is $18, while preferred seating is $36. Patron VIP seating is $90 and includes a copy of The Heights of Courage by Avigdor Kahalani.
Established in 1981, the FIDF is a non-political, non-military organization that provides for the well-being of the soldiers, veterans and family members. FIDF vows to provide these soldiers with love, support and care to ease the burden they carry on behalf of the Jewish community worldwide.
Temple Shalom of Central Florida is located at 13563 County Road 101 in Oxford. For more information about the concert, call (352) 748-1800.
