Vehicle, firearm reportedly stolen from resident of Golden Pond Village

A vehicle and firearm were reportedly stolen from a resident of Golden Pond Village in Ocala.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded Thursday to a residence located on SE 110th St. in reference to an auto theft, according to an incident report. The deputy made contact with the victim, who advised that he woke up earlier that day around noon and noticed that his vehicle was missing. The victim told the deputy that he noticed several other items were missing from inside his home, including a 9mm pistol, wallet and his prescription medication. The vehicle and pistol were valued at $15,000 and $275 respectively.
