Hazel E. Rubito, 83, passed away Thursday in her home surrounded by family, friends, love and prayer.

Born in Sidney Maine the youngest of three daughters to James and Violet Williams where she spent her childhood on the family farm. She move to South Windham Maine with her aunt, uncle and sister Marion where she attended and graduated from Deering High School.

In 1952 Hazel married Robert Rubito and shared 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2002. They were longtime residents of Portland and Westbrook Maine where they worked hard and raised their family of nine children together. She retired from Maine Medical Center after 30 years as a caring Operating Room Aide. After retiring Hazel and Bob relocated to The Villages, Lady Lake, Florida in 1993. Hazel was strong in her faith and a member of the Crossroads Community Church where she celebrated and rejoiced with her church family until she was unable to physically attend.

Hazel is survived by her loving sister, Marion Nealey of The Villages, Lady Lake, Florida formerly of Westbrook, Maine, her devoted children Robert C. Rubito and wife Sandy of Peoria, Arizona, Jani Mason of Gorham, Maine, Gary Rubito of Lewiston, Maine, Mark Rubito of Westbrook, Maine, Susan Rubito of Lewiston, Maine, Kathy Larrivee and husband Ray of Windham, Maine, David Rubito and wife Connie of Howie In The Hills, Florida, Douglas Rubito and girlfriend Lorraine of Lady Lake, Florida and Daniel Rubito and his wife Donna of Westbrook, Maine, her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life for Hazel 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 4th at the Crossroads Community Church, 2275 Griffin Ave, Lady Lake, Florida 32159. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Crossroads Community Church.
