To the Editor:
This letter is in response to a previous letter about drinking. (You can read that letter here:

If these stats are true, and I fully believe they are, then we should expect even more incidence of crimes while intoxicated.
There are about 100,000 people in The Villages currently. According to the chart 10 percent are very drunk at any one time – 10,000 people.
In fact the numbers of crime of any kind here is much below the U.S. average.
Time to stop bashing The Villages and its residents and just enjoy this wonderful place.
