Gov. Scott to be sworn in for second term on Tuesday

Since winning his re-election campaign against former Gov. Charlie Crist in November, Gov. Rick Scott has already been at work promoting his next four years in office, honing in on the importance of job growth and expanding the state economy. It was, he said, his way of sharing his inauguration with Floridians around the state.

In December the governor traveled across the state as part of his Jobs Jamboree tour, focusing on job creators and the working class.

Scott reeled in $800,000 in inaugural contributions with the largest donations coming from Associated Industries of Florida’s business PAC, Florida Insurance Council and Scott Holdings, which each shelled out $100,000 toward inaugural events.

His swearing in will be at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday on the steps of the Old Capitol in Tallahassee.
