Letter to the Editor: Defacing the American Flag

To the Editor:

I was at Sumter Landing last Friday, June 26, 2015 when the gay rights group were celebrating the courts decision. I could not help but notice that they took an American Flag and changed the stripes to rainbow colors. It was also laying on the ground next to the staging area. What an awful way to treat our flag. I am surprised that this was allowed in The Villages with so many vets around. A lot of Americans died for that flag. God Bless America!
