25-year-old man arrested at scene of house fire in Fruitland Park

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene of a house fire Thursday morning in Fruitland Park.

Ryan Nelson Morrell was arrested at his home in the 1400 block of North Lake View Avenue.

Firefighters were at the scene of the fire at 7:30 a.m. and Morrell crossed over the yellow tape meant to keep the public a safe distance from the fire, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

He was repeatedly told to stay away from the property, the arrest report indicated.

He was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond.
