Two homes ransacked at Del Webb Spruce Creek

Two homes were reportedly ransacked this week at Del Webb Spruce Creek.

Both homes are located on SE 97th Terrace Road.

A friend went to one of the homes to check on it Thursday as the homeowners are out of town, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The man entered through the garage and immediately noticed a storage cabinet in the garage was open. When he went into the master bedroom, he saw that dresser drawers had been opened and the mattress had been moved to see if anything was underneath it. Entry had been gained by cutting a screen and opening a bedroom window.

In the second incident, the homeowner was also out of town. Entry was gained through a window and drawers were left open throughout the house. There was evidence that whoever entered the home had examined the homeowner’s prescription medicine but found nothing of value.
