Villages resident elected as treasurer of Altrusa International’s District Three

Shannon Schell, a resident of Sunbury at Glenview in The Villages, has been elected treasurer of Altrusa International’s District Three, which includes 26 clubs in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Schell is past president of Altrusa International of Lake County, Inc.
She served as the Altrusa International District Three Foundation Treasurer. She will serve a two- year term in her new role as District Three Treasurer.

Altrusa International of Lake County, Inc. is a non-profit civic organization of members united to achieve its purpose, objectives and service programs. Lake Altrusa was originally chartered on April 16, 1983, and was incorporated on April 14, 2014. The name Altrusa is a derivation of the word “altruism,” which is defined as the principle or practice of unselfish concern.
