Student reports cell phone stolen from book bag at Liberty Middle School

A student’s cell phone was reportedly stolen from his book bag at Liberty Middle School in Ocala.

While a Marion County sheriff’s deputy was working as a school resource officer at Liberty Middle School, the juvenile victim on Tuesday advised the deputy that his cell phone was missing, according to an incident report. The victim advised that when he got off the school bus, he placed his cell phone into his book bag. The victim also advised that when he got to second period, he check his book bag and the cell phone was gone. The victim could not advise who could have taken his cell phone, and that he could not be certain that the cell phone did not fall out of his book bag. The phone was an AT&T ZTE, black phone with a cracked screen valued at $100.
