Woman arrested after attempting to steal nearly $500 worth of Nike, Adidas apparel at Kohl’s

A woman was arrested Saturday after attempting to steal nearly $500 worth of Nike and Adidas apparel at Kohl’s.

Salena Yvette Rosario, 20, of Ocala, entered the store at about 5:40 p.m. and took a pair of sandals and put them under her cart, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

After she left the store, a loss prevention officer stopped her and discovered she also had two large bags of Adidas and Nike apparel for which she had not paid.

The total value of the items taken was $466.43, according to the arrest report.

She was taken into custody on a charge of felony theft and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $2,000 bond.
