Villager arrested after sinking her teeth into man’s shoulder during altercation

Patti Ann Damico

A Villager was arrested after reportedly sinking her teeth into a man’s shoulder during an altercation early Wednesday morning in the Village of Palo Alto.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called shortly after 1 a.m. to a home on Camino Del Ray Drive where 63-year-old Patti Ann Damico was arrested on a charge of battery.

She had been in the man’s bathroom gathering items when he asked if she could put it off until the following day so he could get some sleep, according to an arrest report. When he attempted to escort her out of the room, she lunged at him and bit his right shoulder. The man was able to push her away and locked the bedroom door.

When deputies arrived on the scene, the man, whose shirt was ripped open, showed them the teeth marks in his shoulder.

Damico was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center where she was initially held without bond.
