A driver who blew through two stop signs at the Pinellas Plaza was arrested with methamphetamine.
Joshua Steven Mitchell, 20, of Wildwood, had been driving a vehicle at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday when he ran a stop sign at Burnsed Boulevard and then a second stop sign at the Pinellas Library, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
The report indicated Mitchell had been traveling at a “very high rate of speed.”
He told a police officer he ran the stop signs because he was tired and wanted to get home.
A search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine in the center console.
He was arrested on a charge of drug possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,500.
