Collision of Rainey Construction trucks marks company’s second serious crash this year at Fenney

The collision of two Rainey Construction trucks Wednesday morning marked the company’s second serious crash this year at the Village of Fenney.

Truck driver Patti Lynn Hall, 47, of Ocala, was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center after her white 2018 Mack truck collided with a blue 2018 Peterbilt truck driven by 33-year-old Robert Wayne Thomas II of Inverness at 8:21 a.m., according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Hall had been stopped facing south at a driveway access on County Road 468 east of County Road 501 when she failed to see the truck driven by Thomas which was traveling west on County Road 468. Hall made a left turn into the path of Thomas’ truck which struck the left side of her truck.

Hall was ticketed for running a stop sign.
