Police investigate report of snowbird hitting golf cart on Del Mar Drive

Lady Lake police investigated a report of a snowbird hitting a golf cart on Del Mar Drive in The Villages.

An officer was called at 1:20 p.m. Saturday to the Del Mart Gate, where a Michigan man told police that he witnessed a white 2016 Honda Odyssey van strike a green golf cart on Del Mar Drive, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. There was a two-inch hole in the 71-year-old Minnesota woman’s vehicle’s front bumper. There were also black scuff marks on the front passenger-side of the van.

However, the golf cart she reportedly struck was nowhere to be found.
