Marilyn Gerbig

Marilyn Gerbig of The Villages, Florida passed away on September 20, 2019 at 12:30 am at Cornerstone Hospice with her son Michael and his loving wife Judy at her side.

She was born on October 29, 1933 in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband Kenneth “Kenny” of 64 years at the time of his passing. She leaves behind 4 children, Richard Gerbig and partner James Moran, Kathy Fellenz and husband Kim, Michael Gerbig and wife Judy, and Bryan Gerbig. She was always very proud of her grandchildren Kellee Rodriguez and husband Jose, Charisse Fellenz, Kim Fellenz Jr. and his wife Vicky, and Krystal Ortiz and husband Carlos, along with her 6 greatgrandchildren Mya, Sanai, Dominick, Peyton, Kamdyn and Julian. She also leaves behind her beloved brother Eugene O’Rourke of Manchester, New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore where she was married and raised her children. Family time was very important to Marilyn, including trips to the beach, vacations, neighborhood birthday parties and being around those she cared about. After relocating to The Villages in 1993, she enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets, playing bingo, card games, garage sales, going to the Market of Marion and riding in the golf cart. She will be remembered by everyone as one of the most kind, loving, caring and thoughtful people.

Marilyn’s was a life well lived. She will be missed by all.
