‘Confused’ driver strays out of roundabout and crashes into wall

A “confused” driver strayed out of a roundabout Monday morning and crashed into a wall in the Village of McClure.

The accident occurred at about 7:15 a.m. and involved a mini-van at the roundabout at County Road 501 and Corbin Trail.

A mini-van crashed into a wall Monday morning in the Village of McClure.

The driver of the mini-van told emergency personnel he was unfamiliar with the roundabout and had gotten confused.

The driver escaped injury, but two passengers were transported by ambulance to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

The Villages Public Safety Department responded to the crash. The Wildwood Police Department was investigating the incident.
