FHP releases accident report detailing crash in which Villager thrown from golf cart

The Florida Highway Patrol has released an accident report detailing a crash earlier this month in which a Villager was thrown from a golf cart.

Jo Ann Mullon, 70, of the Village of Virginia Trace, had been driving the 2012 Yamaha golf cart at 10:35 a.m. Nov. 12 on the golf cart path along Morse Boulevard south of Bonita Boulevard when she failed to properly negotiate a curve and struck some bushes, according to the report.

Mullon was ejected from the golf cart.

She was transported by ambulance to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

She was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.
