Village of McClure resident has question about golf cart bridge

To the Editor:

Noticed the other day that the Warm Springs northern bridge (there are two bridges, east and west) over the Florida Turnpike, appears wide enough for a 2 way golf cart path across the right side of the bridge. There is a wide shoulder on the left side of the bridge and traffic could be routed a few feet to the left to increase the width of the right side golf cart lanes if needed. I first noticed that the golf cart paths on both sides of the bridge are there because someone else may have had the same idea. What have you heard? A shortcut to The Villages northern areas (Village squares by golf cart from the Southern areas, soon to be expanded to four squares.)
