Marco Rubio supports cruel ban with no exceptions

To the Editor:

Marco Rubio has long said that he supports bans on abortion with no exceptions, even in the case of rape or incest. As his allies across the country push for new laws that would force rape victims to give birth, Rubio has made it clear that he already supports these dangerous restrictions. He even proposed his own legislation that could have jailed the doctor who provided care in the recent case of a 10-year-old rape victim from Ohio.

Marco Rubio’s long history of opposing women’s rights to make their own health care decisions isn’t just a threat to their safety, it’s downright cruel. Rubio supports dangerous policies that would criminalize doctors providing care and force victims of rape and incest to give birth, even when the victim is a child.
